High Striker - Test Your Strength Machine Hire

Our High Striker (like the fairground Test Your Strength machines) stands at 10ft in height and can be configured to allow both adults and children to have a go so it really can be played by everyone.  High Striker hire is the perfect activity for School Fetes, Corporate Events, Family Fundays, Christmas Parties – the activity is always a hit whenever it is rented out.  High Striker hire is also proving very popular for Exhibitions, Trade Stands and Promotional Events.  Our unit features flashing LED’s up the shaft which looks great at evening and indoor events.

Based on the traditional fairground style Test-Your-Strength games, the aim of the game is to hit the centre target as hard as possible which will then fire the little mouse up the scoreboard.  The harder you hit the target the higher the mouse will rise.  And if you manage to get the mouse all the way to the top, you will hear the bell sound out and you can take your bow!  The High Striker is an easy activity to run competitively as the unit has scores all up the sides so you can record peoples scores depending on how high the mouse is catapulted.

All of our High Striker units include £10 million PLI and risk assessments.

High Strikers are available to hire from Altitude for events and venues in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Essex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and London.

Our High Striker does not require a mains power supply as the LED’s are battery powered.   The High Striker is less than a metre round but we do need a little bit of space for the players to stand and swing the mallets safely.  Plus obviously a LOT of space for the big crowds who will come to watch!  When you hire the High Striker, it comes supplied with a rubber mallet and everything else required to operate, you just need to provide prizes if required.

Please note that we have a minimum hire fee of £400 + VAT so we usually only hire these games as part of packages rather than individually.

The High Striker is a one player game.

Can anyone use the High Striker?

Players must be able to hold the mallets. Anyone deemed to be in an ‘unfit’ state to play due to the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused on.

Can the High Striker be used outside?

The High Striker is suitable for outdoor events requiring 3m x 3m of space with 3.5m headroom.

Can the High Striker be used indoors?

The High Striker is suitable for Indoor events. It requires 3m x 3m of space with 3.5m headroom.  Please let us know whether there are long distances to carry it or any steps/stairs/lifts/doorways etc to navigate with the equipment as complicated set up routes may increase set up time or require additional staff which will increase the hire costs.

Does the High Striker require a power supply?

No, tthe High Striker does not require a mains power supply.

Do I need to supply anything or does the High Striker come with everything it needs?

Other than providing an area to set up on, we supply everything required to run the game.

How long does the High Striker take to set up?

Depending on ease of access, the High Striker will take our staff approximately 30mins to set up.

Safety

Does the High Striker come with someone to run the activity?

Yes, our staff (CRB/DBS checked and 1st aid trained) will remain with the game throughout your event. They will give all players a briefing of how the game works and run each game for you, recording scores where necessary.

How safe is the High Striker?

Sessions are run by fully trained, experienced staff member (staff are first aid trained and CRB/DBS checked). We also operate with £10 million public liability insurance and have full risk assessments (copies of which are available on request).

Prices/Options

How much does it cost to hire the High Striker?

We will tailor make each High Striker hire quote to the specifics of an enquiry. The High Striker hire cost is dependent on factors such as your location, length of hire, date of hire and whether or not any other pieces of equipment are being hired for the same event, etc.

Are there any additional costs?

The quote we send to you is all inclusive so there are no hidden extras to be wary of.

How do I book?

Give us a call or send an e-mail and we can check your desired date(s) for availability and give you a quote. When you are ready to confirm, we will send out a booking form, complete with the booking terms and conditions to check over. Once filled in, please return it to us along with payment.  We take a 25% deposit to secure a booking date and the balance is due 1 month before the hire date. Then sit back and count down the days until we arrive!

Are there options to customize our hire to advertise a product or event?

Staff uniform can certainly be tailored to advertise a chosen product or event and if you do have any other specific ideas please do get in touch and we can see how we can help!

How far will Altitude travel for an event?

Although we are based in the South East, we will travel anywhere to do an event.  However, if it is very far from our base, the price will reflect this. Primarily our High Striker attends events held in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.  Please contact us for further information if this is something that you would be interested in.
