Inflatable Obstacle Course and Fun Run Hire

Altitude’s Inflatable Obstacle Course (Fun Run) is now available to hire. The Inflatable Obstacle Course features holes to jump through, walls to climb over, inflatable columns to squeeze between and an 8ft high slide to finish off with.

The Inflatable Obstacle Course can be used by Adults and Children alike with a minimum age of 5yrs old, although for safety reasons, adults are not allowed to use the Inflatable Fun Run at the same time as children.

Inflatable Obstacle Course hire packages include a member of staff (CRB/DBS and 1st aid trained), £10 million PLI and risk assessments.

The Inflatable Obstacle Course is great for Corporate Events, It’s a Knockout Events, Team Building Days, Family Fundays, School Activity Days and just about most other events you can think of! Altitude Events is based in Sussex but regularly supplies Inflatables and event attractions such as the Obstacle Course to events and venues in Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Essex, London and Hertfordshire.

The blowers for the Inflatable Obstacle Course will plug into a normal mains plug socket. Where mains power is not available we can run the blowers from one of our generators (for an additional charge). The Inflatable Fun Run requires a flat area of grass or indoor space at least of 13.5m x 19m with 6m of height clearance if inside. Due to the size and weight of the Fun Run inflatable (rolled up it’s about 1.5m high and 1m round), please contact us in advance with any possible access problems such as stairs, narrow gates or doorways, etc. As with all of Altitude’s Inflatables, the electrical equipment is fully PAT tested and the Inflatable itself has an annual safety test carried out. The Inflatable Fun Run is always supplied with staff so it is not available for overnight hires. Outdoor bookings only available between mid-April and mid-October inclusive.

Additional Notes For outdoor bookings, we require a flat area of short cut grass and cannot operate on hard standing or gravel. For indoor bookings we will require access for the Inflatable which needs to be wheeled into place on a trolley and will be 1.5m tall and 1m round.

About the Obstacle Course

How many people can play on the Obstacle Course?

The Obstacle Course can take up to two players per run.

Can anyone use the Obstacle Course?

Players must be five years of age or over.  Anyone deemed to be in an ‘unfit’ state to play due to the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused on.

Can the Obstacle Course operate in bad weather?

The Obstacle Course cannot be used in wet weather as the inflatable becomes too slippery to operate it safely. As with all Inflatables we need to stop operating if wind speed exceeds 24mph.

What you need

Can the Obstacle Course be used outside?

Yes it can but it will need a relatively flat area of grass. As with all Inflatables it cannot be used on hard standing for H&S reasons as we cannot secure it to the ground properly. The Obstacle Course requires an area of 13.5m x 19m with at least 6m headroom. The inflatable rolled up is 1.5m high and 1m round so suitable access is required for that from where we can unload the van.  We only operate Inflatables outside between April and the middle of October as ground and weather conditions are not usually suitable for them over the Winter months.

Can the Obstacle Course be used indoors?

The Obstacle Course is suitable for Indoor events and requires 13.5m x 19m of space with 6m headroom.  Suitable access is required as the inflatable rolled up is 1.5m high so any doorways or corridors must allow for this and we need to know in advance if there are any steps in our set up route.

Does the Obstacle Course require a power supply?

Yes, the inflatable requires one mains power socket within 50m of the set up area. Please note that our extension cables cannot run across roadways, paths or busy open public areas where they will become a trip hazard. For outdoor events where a power supply is unavailable, Altitude Events can supply a generator on prior request (this is subject to a small additional cost).

Do I need to supply anything or does the Obstacle Course come with everything it needs?

Other than a patch of ground to set up on, we supply everything required to run the game, including the inflatables, ancillary equipment, bunting and operator.

How long does the Obstacle Course take to set up?

Depending on ease of access, the Inflatables will take our staff approximately between an hour and an hour and a half to set up.

Safety

Does the Obstacle Course come with someone to run the activity?

Yes, our staff (CRB/DBS checked and 1st aid trained) will remain with the Inflatable throughout your event. They will give all players a detailed briefing of how the race works and run each race for you.

How safe is the Obstacle Course?

Sessions are run by fully trained, experienced staff member (staff are first aid trained and CRB/DBS checked). We also operate with £10 million public liability insurance and have full risk assessments (copies of which are available on request). The Inflatable has an annual safety certificate and all electrical items are PAT tested for electrical safety.

How much does it cost to hire the Obstacle Course?

We will tailor make each Obstacle Course hire quote to the specifics of an enquiry. The Inflatable hire cost is dependent on factors such as your location, length of hire, date of hire and whether or not any other pieces of equipment are being hired for the same event.

Are there any additional costs?

The quote we send to you is all inclusive so there are no hidden extras to be wary of.

How do I book?

Give us a call or send an e-mail and we can check your desired date(s) for availability and give you a quote. When you are ready to confirm, we will send out a booking form complete with the booking terms and conditions to check over. Once filled in, please return it to us along with payment.  We take a 25% deposit to secure a booking date and the balance is due 1 month before the hire date. Then sit back and count down the days until we arrive!

Are there options to customize our hire to advertise a product or event?

Staff uniform can certainly be tailored to advertise a chosen product or event and if you do have any other specific ideas please do get in touch and we can see how we can help!

How far will Altitude travel for an event?

Although we are based in the South East, we will travel anywhere to do an event.  However, if it is very far from our base, the price will reflect this. Primarily our Obstacle Course attends events held in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.  Please contact us for further information if this is something that you would be interested in.
