Rock N’ Roll Jousting Hire and Rentals

On the Rock n Roll, 2 contenders go head to head to see who can be the first one to knock their opponent off the pedestal using the foam pugil sticks. As well as trying to knock their opponent off, players must also try and balance themselves as the podium rocks up and down as the players move around on it! This twist to the game makes it’s a real step up from the Gladiator Duel games.

Altitude’s Rock n Roll Hire service is based in Sussex but regularly supplies Inflatables such as the Rock n Roll to venues and events in Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Essex, London, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. All Rock n Roll hire packages are provided with a member of staff (CRB/DBS checked and 1st aid trained), £10 million PLI and full risk assessments.

Our Rock n Roll can be played by adults and children alike, although the minimum age is 8yrs old and for safety reasons, players must take on someone of a similar size to them. All players wear padded helmets and neck braces whilst using the Rock n Roll. Our Rock n Roll hire service is suitable for Corporate Events, Family Fundays, Company BBQs, Fetes, Town Shows, Scout/Guide Camps, Schools and Private Parties.

The Rock n Roll will require a normal mains plug socket. Where one is not available we can run the Rock n Roll from one of our generators (for an additional charge). All electrical items are fully PAT tested and the inflatable itself has an annual safety test certificate. The Rock n Roll requires a flat area of grass or indoor space of 9m x 9m with at least 4m headroom. Due to the size and weight of the Rock n Roll inflatable (rolled up it’s about 1m high and 1m round), please contact us in advance with any possible access problems such as stairs, narrow doorways or gates, etc. As with all of our inflatable activities, the Rock n Roll is supplied with a staff member to oversee its use so we do not do overnight hires. Outdoor bookings only available between mid-April and mid-October inclusive.

How many people can play on the Rock N’ Roll?

The Rock N’ Roll requires two players to compete.

Can anyone use the Rock N’ Roll?

Players must be eight years of age and over plus they also need to be able to get on the podium unaided.  Anyone deemed to be in an ‘unfit’ state to play due to the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused entry.

Can the Rock N’ Roll operate in bad weather?

The Rock N’ Roll cannot be used in wet weather as the inflatable becomes too slippery to operate it safely. As with all Inflatables we need to stop operating if wind speed exceeds 24mph.

What you need

Can the Rock N’ Roll be used outside?

Yes it can but it will need a relatively flat area of grass. As with all Inflatables it cannot be used on hard standing for H&S reasons as we cannot secure it to the ground properly. The Rock N’ Roll requires an area of 9m x 9m with at least 4m headroom. The inflatable rolled up is 1.5h high and 1m round so suitable access is required for that from where we can unload the van.  We only operate Inflatables outside between April and the middle of October as ground and weather conditions are not usually suitable for them over the Winter months.

Can the Rock N’ Roll be used indoors?

The Rock N’ Roll is suitable for Indoor events and requires 9m x 9m of space with 4m headroom.  Suitable access is required as the inflatable rolled up is 1.5m high so any doorways or corridors must allow for this and we need to know in advance if there are any steps in our set up route.

Does the Rock N’ Roll require a power supply?

Yes, the inflatable requires one mains power socket within 50m of the set up area. Please note that our extension cables cannot run across roadways, paths or busy open public areas where they will become a trip hazard. For outdoor events where a power supply is unavailable, Altitude Events can supply a generator on prior request (this is subject to a small additional cost).

Do I need to supply anything or does the Rock N’ Roll come with everything it needs?

Other than a patch of ground to set up on, we supply everything required to run the game, including the inflatable, Pugil sticks, ancillary equipment, bunting and operator.

How long does the Rock N’ Roll take to set up?

Depending on ease of access, the Inflatable will take our staff approximately an hour to set up.

Safety

Does the Rock N’ Roll come with someone to run the activity?

Yes, our staff (CRB/DBS checked and 1st aid trained) will remain with the Inflatable throughout your event. They will give all players a detailed briefing of how the game works and run each game for you.

How safe is the Rock N’ Roll?

Sessions are run by fully trained, experienced staff member (staff are first aid trained and CRB/DBS checked). We also operate with £10 million public liability insurance and have full risk assessments (copies of which are available on request). The Inflatable has an annual safety certificate and all electrical items are PAT tested for electrical safety.

How much does it cost to hire the Rock N’ Roll?

We will tailor make each Rock N’ Roll hire quote to the specifics of an enquiry. The Inflatable hire cost is dependent on factors such as your location, length of hire, date of hire and whether or not any other pieces of equipment are being hired for the same event.

Are there any additional costs?

The quote we send to you is all inclusive so there are no hidden extras to be wary of.

How do I book?

Give us a call or send an e-mail and we can check your desired date(s) for availability and give you a quote. When you are ready to confirm, we will send out a booking form complete with the booking terms and conditions to check over. Once filled in, please return it to us along with payment.  We take a 25% deposit to secure a booking date and the balance is due 1 month before the hire date. Then sit back and count down the days until we arrive!

Are there options to customize our hire to advertise a product or event?

Staff uniform can certainly be tailored to advertise a chosen product or event and f you do have any other specific ideas please do get in touch and we can see how we can help!

How far will Altitude travel for an event?

Although we are based in the South East, we will travel anywhere to do an event.  However, if it is very far from our base, the price will reflect this. Primarily our Rock N’ Roll attends events held in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.  Please contact us for further information if this is something that you would be interested in.
