With the 2012 London Games not long passed, Altitude’s ‘Wacky Olympic’ Corporate Team Building Event embraces everything that is true and great about these iconic occasions.  Our Wacky Olympics Team Building event is the perfect cross between a ‘School Sports Day’ and the classic ‘It’s a Knockout’ integrating huge inflatables with the more well-known Olympic pastimes.  Our collection of races, football, shooting, beach volleyball, swimming and even equestrian or gymnastic activities provide something for everyone irrespective of their age or ability!  In fact, in all of our Wacky Olympic disciplines, fitness levels have very little bearing on success!  And although our stadium may not be as impressive as the one in Stratford or the ‘Birds Nest’ in Beijing we promise to bring the arena alive with colour, energy and laughter.

As with all of our Corporate Events and Team Building Activities, our Wacky Olympic Team Building Events can be specifically designed to suit your budget, number of participants, time and space available.  On a Wacky Olympic Event you can expect the usual fun and frolics involved with the horse riding, 100m sprint, javelin throwing and a whole host of other wacky options!  We guarantee that the twists and alternative takes on your favourite classics will make this an unforgettable day for all, regardless of fitness or ability.  Wacky Olympic Events are as hilarious to watch as they are to take part in, thus bringing a light hearted side to a Team Building Event!

About our Wacky Olympics

How many people can take part in a Wacky Olympics Event?

We usually have teams of up to 10 people per team and we can happily run a Wacky Olympics Event for between 2 and 12 teams.

Can anyone take part in a Wacky Olympics Event?

Yes!  Whilst some of the activities in this style of event are very physical there are also many that are not, so people can choose which ones to take part in during the event.  We generally run Wacky Olympics Events for adult groups although we could tailor one for children over 10yrs old if needed.  For safety reasons we cannot run mixed Wacky Olympics Events for adults and children, I am afraid.

Can a Wacky Olympics Event operate in bad weather?

Some Inflatables cannot be used in wet weather as the inflatable becomes too slippery to operate it safely.  In which case we may need to adapt the game selection slightly to allow us to carry on running the event.  As with all Inflatables we need to stop operating if wind speed exceeds 24mph.

What you need

What space do you need to run a Wacky Olympics?

Inflatables cannot be used outside on hard standing for H&S reasons as we cannot secure them to the ground properly. We would, therefore, need a large area of flat grass to set up on with direct vehicle access for the vans.  We could look at running a version indoors if you had a large space such as a warehouse, exhibition hall or maybe a large Sports Centre.

When do you run Wacky Olympics?

We only operate Wacky Olympics Events outside between April and the middle of October as the ground and weather conditions are not usually suitable for them over the Winter months.

Do the activities require a power supply?

Yes, the inflatables will require mains power sockets within 50m of the setup area. Please note that our extension cables cannot run across roadways, paths or busy open public areas where they will become a trip hazard. For outdoor events where a power supply is unavailable, Altitude Events can supply generators on prior request (this is subject to a small additional cost).

Do I need to supply anything or does your Wacky Olympics package come with everything it needs?

Other than a venue to set up on, we supply everything required to run the games, including the inflatables, ancillary equipment, bunting and operators.  We would suggest you got a supply of water/soft drinks for your participants and we also recommend a medic is booked to be on standby for these style of physical events.

How long does a Wacky Olympics take to set up?

Depending on ease of access, the event will take our staff between 2 and 3 hours to set up.

Safety

Do the games come with staff to run the activities?

Yes, our staff (CRB/DBS checked and 1st aid trained) will remain with the games throughout your event. They will give all players a detailed briefing of how the zone works and run/score the games for you.

How safe are Wacky Olympics Events?

Sessions are run by fully trained, experienced staff members (staff are first aid trained and CRB/DBS checked). We also operate with £10 million public liability insurance and have full risk assessments. All our Inflatables have an annual safety test carried out and all electrical items are PAT tested for electrical safety.

How much does it cost to book a Wacky Olympics Event?

We will tailor make each Wacky Olympics quote to the specifics of an enquiry dependent on factors such as your venue address, date of hire, number of participants, etc.

Are there any additional costs?

The quote we send to you is all inclusive so there are no hidden extras to be wary of.

How do I book?

Give us a call or send an e-mail and we can check your desired date(s) for availability and give you a quote. When you are ready to confirm, we will send out a booking form complete with the booking terms and conditions to check over. Once filled in, please return it to us along with payment.  We take a 25% deposit to secure a booking date and the balance is due 1 month before the hire date. Then sit back and count down the days until we arrive!

Are there options to customize our hire to advertise a product or event?

Staff uniform can certainly be tailored to advertise a chosen product or event and if you do have any other specific ideas please do get in touch and we can see how we can help!

How far will Altitude travel for an event?

Although we are based in the South East, we will travel anywhere to do an event.  However, if it is very far from our base, the price will reflect this. Primarily our Wacky Olympics Events are held in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.  Please contact us for further information if this is something that you would be interested in.

Altitude Events are completely mobile.
